Hi there! My name is Laura Babiuk and I am the owner of Laura Makes Things. I am a self taught artist who has been creating for as long as I can remember.
I started Laura Makes Things out of my bedroom-turned-studio when I was 17 and as I’ve grown over the years, I’ve dabbled in many different art mediums.
I sell original prints, buttons, hand embroidered goods, clothing, and more! My goal is that my work resonates with you in any way it needs to. If my art brightens your day or connects with you in a deeper way, then I have done my job.
I have worked on illustrations for books and toys internationally, and have collaborated with local artist to make wonderful things together.
You can currently find my work in storefronts such as Ritual Clay Company, The Rochester Brainery, and The Op Shop. Supporting local small businesses and investing back into the community is very important to me. I believe that art is a powerful tool that can help bring us together and connect with and help others.
